Start of construction of the Kuva Oil Refinery

As part of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030, which involves an increase in hydrocarbon production, in December 2021, the construction of the Kuva Oil Refinery, a complex for processing, storing and transporting natural gas and oil, was launched in the Kuva district of the Fergana region. The khokims of the Fergana region and the Kuva region, the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the founders of the Uzgazneftekompleks company, who were present at the pouring of the foundation of the first block of the Kuva Oil Refinery, gave a solemn start to the start of construction.

The new complex with an annual production capacity of more than 2.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be among the largest enterprises that form the basis of the industry cluster of the region and will work to meet the needs of the economy and the population of Uzbekistan at the expense of its own energy resources, and in the future - to restore export deliveries and expansion of their geography.

Innovative technological solutions will bring the Kuva Oil Refinery to the maximum depth of processing (99%), energy efficiency and production volumes of high-quality liquefied gas, fuel, fuels and lubricants.

By June 2022, it is planned to complete construction and installation works, lay engineering networks, build facilities for power supply and provide the plant with water for cooling, and prepare a raw material acceptance point. Outside the main contour of the complex, the construction of a working camp for specialists has been completed. The commissioning of the first block of the Kuva Oil Refinery is scheduled for March 2022.
